Applicants must be current IU Indianapolis students.
Grants range in amounts of $100 - $1500. Each application should include an IU Indianapolis faculty or staff advisor who can assist in distributing the funding for the project.
The grant funding falls under University Purchasing Guidelines. The funding could be used for items such as food costs, space rental, speaker stipends, and certain service project supplies. Prohibited purchases include items such as gifts, gift cards, and financial donations. Please review the University Purchasing Guidelines and talk to your faculty/staff advisor to ensure you are requesting funding for items that can be reimbursed by the University.
Ideas for projects include community service, voter registration and education campaigns, social issue education, and donation drives. The grant is designed to fund new projects or add new components to already existing projects. Grant funding is currently focused on projects in the following categories: Community and Economic Development, Direct Voluntary Service, Grassroots Organizing and Public Policy Education, Philanthropic Activities, Social Entrepreneurship, and Non-partisan Voter Engagement Activities.
