The Habitat ReStore is a home-improvement thrift store where all proceeds go back into Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity to build homes in our community. We accept items like couches, dining room tables, cabinet sets, bathtubs, refrigerators, etc! We have projects like putting together furniture or light fixtures, checking for quality, sorting incoming donations, and general cleaning and organizing around the store. No experience is needed! There is a lot of heavy lifting involved since our donations tend to be large items like furniture and building materials. We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and dressing for the weather. It can often feel like whatever the temperature is outside due to opening large bay doors for donation drop offs and customers. We do have four locations (Avon, West Washington, Fishers, and Greenfield) and are open Monday – Saturday from 10am – 6pm. Dates and times are Monday - Saturday within the hours of 10am - 6pm. We ask that you plan to volunteer for at least 1 hour, but prefer 2+ if possible!
