Heartland Hospice strives to help veterans throughout the year to show their appreciation and support for their sacrifice. Currently, Heartland Hospice is looking for volunteers or a group of volunteers to make Christmas packages and/or collect items for veterans who are unable to be home with loved ones for the Holidays. The care packages can be made using small boxes or gift bags. Suggested items that can be included in the packages are: compression socks, electric shavers, shaving cream, after shave, shampoo, body wash, bottled water, salty snacks, hard candy, word searches, crossword puzzles, magazines, pens, masks, bandanas, etc.! The care packages/items need to be delivered to Heartland Hospices's business office on or before December 13th in order for it to be prepared for disbursement.
