As an IndyHumane Volunteer there are so many opportunities to serve. You can serve as a Feline Friend and spend time enriching our cat's lives. Canine Companions help to walk, exercise, and enrich our dog's lives during their stay. We need housekeeping hounds to help keep our shelter clean and healthy. We have community outreach events too, when we take adoptable animals into our community to find their furever homes! We have volunteer shifts everyday of the week from 8 am-7:30 pm. With fewer shifts on holidays. Most of our opportunities are ongoing due to the training required. If you are available for short term opportunities or looking for a day opportunity, please contact volunteer@indyhumane.org. For those unable to commit, we have a public dog day out program so you can take a dog out for a field trip or hang out for a few hours!
