NAMI Indiana’s newest program, NAMI in the Lobby, has started in Indianapolis at Riley Children’s Health Hospital, with plans to expand throughout the state in future years. NAMI In the Lobby connects families in pediatric emergency departments experiencing a mental health crisis with NAMI and community resources. We seek volunteers local to Indianapolis who are passionate about mental health and have some lived experience (self, caregivers, loved ones, etc). Interested volunteers are asked to complete NAMI and Riley training and be available for at least two shifts a month. Dates and times are Mondays and Thursdays from 4-7 with potential flexibility.
