Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana provides a supportive home away from home for families of children receiving medical care at Riley Children’s Health and other area hospitals. Help prepare and serve home-cooked meals for the families staying with them. Lunch is from 11am - 2pm and dinner is 4:30 - 7pm. Another opportunity includes assisting staff by providing guests a pleasant and comfortable place to stay and visit as the organization’s front-line customer service providers and providing listening support as needed. Anything you might do at your house, you might do at the Ronald McDonald House. Volunteers are scheduled for a three hour shift, every two weeks. Exact shift times vary depending upon the location. We have three areas, one on Limestone Street and two inside Riley Hospital. All volunteers need to be at least 18 years of age, Covid vaccinated and be willing to commit to at least 6 months of service.
