Bike to the 500, Bike Indianapolis' largest fundraiser encourages race fans to skip traffic and ride their bike to the greatest spectacle in racing by providing two police escorted rides to the speedway track where bikes will be parked in a gated and monitored corral while fans enjoy the race. This event is a valuable source of funding for Bike Indianapolis, a non-profit, with the mission to get more people riding and advocate for safer city infrastructure for all. Volunteers are essential to the success of this event. It's fun and for a good cause so we hope you take part! Volunteers are needed for set up/teardown, registration, ride marshals, bike parking attendants and post-event ride leaders. Volunteers can participate in the ride for free and get a free event T-shirt.
