- Summary:
- Brooke's Place Camp Healing Tree is a weekend camp experience for children aged 7-17 that have the experienced the death of someone significant in their life. Camp Healing Tree is an overnight camp experience offering fun activities such as swimming, arts and crafts and campfires, all intertwined with activities that relate to grief. Campers are able to connect with others with shared experiences, helping them know that we are not alone in our grief. Camp Healing Tree weekend takes place Friday, August 15-Sunday, August 17th at Jameson Camp in Indianapolis. Volunteers help to make Camp Healing Tree a reality for our campers each year! Our volunteers help to provide a safe and supportive environment for campers to grieve the way they need to grieve. We have many volunteer role opportunities that help to support our camp weekend! There are options for volunteer roles that work directly with campers and less direct roles that support ‘behind-the-scenes’ activities. Volunteers working directly with campers will require completion of a 16-hour Facilitator Training before camp weekend. Please Note: You must apply for this opportunity before July 2, 2025
