- Be a part of Damien Center's inaugural bike ride fundraisers on Saturday, August 19. Riders choose one of three rides to participate in - a Metric Century Ride (62 miles), a mid-distance ride (30 miles), or a fun ride that includes a stop at and orchard and winery (10 miles). Volunteers are needed for the following roles: Event Set-Up 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. - Volunteers will help set up tents and registration tables at 3 locations. Set-up volunteers will be taking their own vehicle between locations, so anyone interested in this role needs to have a valid drivers license and auto insurance for the vehicle they'll be driving, Registration 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. - Volunteers will help with rider registration at the main site, Boggstown Support & Gear Stop 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Volunteers are monitoring water coolers and passing out snacks to riders, Orchard 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Volunteers are on-site at the orchard to answer questions and keep riders on schedule, Event Break-Down 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Volunteers will assist in final aspects of the event including handing out Damien Center swag and helping to break down tables and tents at all 3 locations. Break-down volunteers will be taking their own vehicle between locations, so anyone interested in this role needs to have a valid drivers license and auto insurance for the vehicle they'll be driving, Hospitality 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Volunteers check on staff and other volunteers throughout the event and deliver boxed lunches. All volunteers will receive an event t-shirt. Volunteers who are working at 12:00 p.m. will receive a boxed lunch.
