Do you love trees? Have you been spending more time outside this past year than ever before? Have you discovered a new appreciation for the natural world? Become a Tree Tender! Let’s get a head start on the 2021 tree planting season with a new round of Tree Tender trainings! Now virtual, and offered in Spanish as well as English, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful is ready to get more tree planting leaders trained and certified to help out and grow Indianapolis’ urban tree canopy. Join KIB's Community Forestry team and experienced Tree Tender volunteers in an in-depth orientation session that will include a wealth of knowledge regarding tree basics, benefits, care, and more -- plus info on KIB’s other programs and the 2021 planting season. Subsequent trainings in the three-part series will be held at the spring’s first few plantings. Complete all three trainings and you’re a Certified Tree Tender. Attend tree planting projects and earn perks and swag from KIB as thanks for all your hard work! NOTE: This is virtual! We’ve moved this to the Zoom platform to help keep you safe.
